Mika Juawan Davis “Dangerous DIVA” was born in Wyandotte County Kansas City, Kansas to Dessie B. Davis and Rose Mary Davis (Paul) on a sunny August 8, 1976. Her Father worked for General Motors and her Mother at KU Medical Center. Both Parents, her Brother Willard “Billy,” her Uncles Frederick “Freddie” and Donald Davis and Aunties Julietta and Luvenia Davis, Anna Mae Ellis, and Bobbie Jean Paul, all proceeded her in death.

Mika was born at KU Medical Center and grow up in Rosedale, Kansas she was baptized at Greater Jerusalem Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas in 1987. She was in the choir and sang soprano, her Mother sang tenor they had a duet, “Somehow I Made It.” She created the Thanksgiving Dinner for the homeless that went on for over 5 years right at the church. Mika always had a smile on her face and was a joy to be around, many would say.

Mika graduated from Shawnee Mission North HS in 1994. She was a “Jill-of-a-lot-of-Trades,” she went to Cosmetology School, Medical School and from there she worked for many local School Districts as a Bus Driver for over 25 years. She currently worked for North KC School District as a Dispatcher and Bus Driver until her final day. She recently purchased her first home and was proud to be a Homeowner.

Mika was the “Life of the Party,” she loved to have fun she just loved life. She had the biggest heart. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Auntie, Neice, Cousin, and Friend. She really loved her family and always loved entertaining at her house no matter what time of day. She would give you the shirt off her back; literally. She helped many people she had many friends. She loved to organize events with family and friends. And she loved to shop. She loved to create new business opportunities for herself if it was making popcorn, cupcakes; whatever it was, she had lots of skills. She was even in the process of doing a relationship study.

Mika loved to cook, listen to music, sing, dance, play dominos and cards with her Sister/Auntie Shaneece and Sister/Cousin Kelli. She loved to mix up a good concoction. She was the Vice President of her Social Club DIVAS 4 Life where she developed many friends in the MC/SC world her and her Sister/Cousin Elisa, “Cinnamon” supported many people and many events. She loved to travel, she would pull up on you in any town and at any place.

She leaves to mourn her two daughters Teonna “Tay Tay” and Timiya, her three grandchildren: Jasani “Rose,” the twins Jay’sion and Jayden all of the home. Her two sisters Kenya “Shawnie” and Tiffany will miss her dearly. Her two nieces Ariel and Sasha and her only nephew Sir Davis. She also leaves her Aunties: Dorothy Bryant, Ida “Hollywood,” Betty and Linda Paul. Uncles: Willie (Audrey), Billy, Dale and Donald Paul, Terry, and Tommy Davis, so many cousins, her Social Club Sisters, her work buddies, and many dear friends. Her loving fiancé Alphonso Owens.
