Minnie Lee Williams was born on September 9, 1946, in Chicago, Il., to Oscar Davis Sr. and Annie Mae Mims.
At the age of 17, Minnie moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she attended Central High School. It was there that she met her husband, James Williams. From that union they had four children, and Minnie went on to have two additional children: Paul Williams, Angela Williams, Thomas Williams, Tamara Williams, who are still within the earthly realm.
Minnie enjoyed two-stepping, Chicago stepping, and playing cards with her friends and family. In 2017 Minnie Lee gave her life to Christ and was a devoted member of The Church at the Well, Kansas City. She spent the latter part of her life expressing the goodness and grace of the Lord. She departed her earthly home and transitioned into her heavenly home on March 14, 2026.
She was preceded her in death by her mother and father, Annie Mae and Oscar Davis Sr.; sisters: Marilyn Martin, Tanya Davis, and Anita Martin; and James Williams and Tyrone Williams.
Minnie Lee leaves seven sisters to cherish her memory: Annie Davis, Olivia Davis, Cassandra Thomas, Cynthia Davis, Mary Davis, Melinda Martin, and Bonita Martin; three brothers: Oscar Davis, James Davis, and Samuel Davis; four children, five grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren, 10 siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Minnie will be truly missed.
