Mitchell “Fuzzy” McHenry Powell, 52, was born November 25, 1970, to his biological mother and Mitchell McHenry. He was raised in Kansas City, Mo by his loving grandmother Dorothy “Muh” McHenry, who preceded him in death.

Mitchell attended Kansas City Public Schools, graduating from Westport High School.

Mitchell was known for his BIG heart, and the love he had for his children and family. With all life obstacles he kept everyone laughing and knew how to make the best out of every situation. His smile was infectious, and his sense of humor will truly be missed. When it came to fashion Fuzzy was always on point, he was very particular about things. He knew how he wanted things and made sure you did too. Some would even call him a Diva, or a few other choice names, but we'd get it done.

He is preceded in death by his brothers: Davione McHenry, and Ronald Powell.

He leaves to cherish his memory of his children who he was very proud of: Mitchell Powell III, (Lindsey), Davon Partee, Dahavon Powell, Marisha Gaines, Ashlie Simmons, Jakeisha Gaines, Kiva Powell, Alanni Partee, Makyla Morris, and Makenzye Powell; brothers: Jazek Winstead (Shantal), Dawaun Winstead, Darren McHenry; sisters, TheQuita Powell, and Olivia Denson; his grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews whether blood or bond, and a host of friends
