Monte Cortez Buford

Mr. Monte' Cortez Buford, Sr. was born on September 30, 1990 to the union of Jacquelyn Buford and Albert Franklin in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by great grandmother, Elizabeth Toney; grandfather, Lee Buford; stepmother, Rhonda Franklin; two aunts, Carla Buford and Yvonne Toney and one cousin, Jasmine Lynn. Monte' confessed a hope in Christ and was a member of New Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Harvey L. White, Sr. Monte' completed his formal education in the Grandview and Kansas City Missouri School Districts. Monte' received his diploma from Southeast High School, class of 2009. Monte' was employed with the Harley Davidson Company for six years, he worked int he paint department. Monte' was one in a million and was always full of life. He strongly loved and believed in family. He touched the hearts of everyone that crossed his path. Monte' lived for his two children. His son, Monte' Cortez Buford, Jr. and daughter, Taylor Corielle Buford were his pride and joy. Monte' was also a wonderful brother, uncle and cousin to the rest of the children in the family. Monte' was a die-hard fan of the Kansas City Chiefs Football Team. Monte' entered eternal rest on August 30, 2017 at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Missouri. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving and devoted mother, Jacquelyn Buford (Andrew); his loving and devoted father, Albert Franklin; his significant other of almost 10 years, Lonze Jones; his loving son, Monte' Buford, Jr.; his loving daughter, Taylor Buford; two grandmothers, Alice Huntley (Fred) and Carolyn Franklin; four loving and devoted sisters, Takea Chase, Tanae Chase, Leah Miles and Shannon Franklin; three loving and devoted brothers, Andrew Miles III, Demetrius Franklin and Aaron Franklin; one very special aunt, Rachelle Huntley; one very special uncle, Edward (Main) Buford; all of Kansas City, Missouri; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
