Murl Patton Jr.

Mr. Murl Patton Jr. was born on September 11, 1963 to Murl and Gloria Patton. He got his wings on May 2, 2021. Junior was a God-fearing true man of God knowing that nothing is impossible with God on this journey called life. He worked as a truck driver , property management, for the government and as a personal driver. He was the choir director for the Spruce Saint Matthew Missionary Baptist Church for over 20 years. Junior would make the choir sing until the presence of God, Glory, and Holy Spirit filled the sanctuary. When things would bother him, he would go to Longview Lake and have a talk with God, pray, read the bible, listen to his gospel music, and preach words by different Ministers.

He was the kind of man whose heart was filled with a generous spirit, love, kindness, and giving. He was always there for family and others with whatever they needed even if he went without himself.

His mother and father: Gloria and Murl Patton Sr., proceeded him in death. Betty Patton, the only other woman he knew as a mom, got her wings that Thursday after Junior passing.

Rest on Brother, Uncle, Dia, friend we will meet again. When we too must answer the call.
