Naomi L Tunley, 84, passed away on August 26, 2020 at Edgewood Manor Skilled Nursing Home, in Raytown, MO. She was born on January 10, 1936 in Henretta, Oklahoma. She grew up in Henretta, Oklahoma. She attended Dillard University in New Orleans, LA where she received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Naomi began work for the Depart of Veterans Affairs as a Nursing Supervisor where she worked for 28 years. Naomi retired in 1993. Naomi was a faithful member of Faith Mission COGIC from 1966 through 1991, under the leadership of the late Elder Hubert Lambert, she also served as a Sunday School teacher, president of the Y.W.C.C., and a member of the Deaconess board. Naomi was preceded into death by her parents Ludia Bell Franklin and Florence Luke Alexander Tunley, four brothers and five sisters. Naomi is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, special nieces, Donna Spears and Pauline Byrd. Also faithful friends and caregivers, Gary and Helen Williams and Rose Merry Lambert.
