Natjuan Taylor-Jones, affectionately known as "Nate the Great", passed away on June 28, 2021 at his home in Raytown, Missouri. He was born on November 8, 1989 in Kansas City, Kansas to Nathan Taylor and Adrean Jones. He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. Nate attended Kansas City, Missouri and the Raytown School Districts. He would often attend St. James United Methodist Church.
Nate had a career at Frito Lays, where he worked for 5 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, grilling, and travelling the world, especially to Las Vegas. Nate was a full-time comedian, always cracking jokes, smiling, and being the life of the party. He was family orientated and enjoyed family trips. Nate was extremely ambitious, always the reaching goals that he set for himself.
Nate loved to have a good time, going out with his friends around the town. He had a great taste of style, being a fly dresser. His bond with his son "Baby Nate" was unbreakable and he enjoyed keeping him fly as well. He loved riding his ATV and had a need for speed. Nate’s smile was contagious and will always be unforgettable.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his son, Natjuan Taylor-Jones Jr., his unborn child; his mother, Adrean Jones; his significant other, Erica Williams; his sister, LaNeisha Chase; two brothers, Harvey Smith Jr., and Roderick Butler; three nieces, Jhane Chase, Armonie Smith, and Jhanya Chase; four nephews, Amir Terry, Christopher Chase Jr, Aston Smith, and Rylan Butler; his grandmother, Gwendolyn Simmons "Gram Cakes"; his grandfather, Ronald Jones (Sheila); his aunt, Lisa Buford; his two uncles, George Sayles, and Walter Simmons; his lifelong friends, Dominique Bolden, Aron Boykin, Anthony Boykin, Latrell Jackson, Adrian "AJ" Jackson, and Brandon Mclin; and a host of close cousins, family, and friends.
