Neal R. Powell

Neal Riden Powell transitioned from this life, on April 15, 2024. He was born on June 5, 1952, in Kansas City, KS. to Bettye Walker raised by Harry and Sally Powell.

Neal accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. He was a member of Mason Memorial Community Church, a United Methodist Congregation. He attended Sunday School, was the Vice President of the Adult Ministry group, a member of the United Methodist Men, a Church Usher and past treasurer.

He attended the Kansas City District 500 Public Schools. He graduated from Sumner High School in 1970 and continued his studies at Emporia State Teachers College, Emporia KS. He later joined the US Air Force in 1972 where he reached the rank of Sgt. and was honorably discharged in 1975.

Neal worked at Apria Healthcare as a customer service rep and retired in 2022.

Neal loved to cook.

He was preceded in death by his mother Bettye Walker, sister Janice Wilson, and grandparents Harry and Sally Powell.

Neal leaves to cherish his memories: Lisa Kennedy his significant other and a host of other relatives and friends.
