O'Neal Ruff

Oneal Ricky Ruff (Rick) was born to Albert and Alma Jean Ruff on October 18, 1948, in Tupelo, Mississippi. Two years later his family moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where he grew up and received his education. He graduated from Soldan High School. His parents, and Ex-wife: Bernice Thomas preceded him in death.

To Rick and Bernice's union, one child was born, Angela. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1975 to restart his life. He met Sandra Jones and her daughter Camille in 1983. Rick and Sandra got married in 1993. To this union one child was born, Nyia. He professed his life to Christ at an early age. Rick held many jobs here in the Kansas City, Missouri area. His last job was at the Kansas City Missouri School District before retiring in 2004. His passion was music and cars. He worked in the family business with his uncle Charles as a Autobody & Fender Repairman. He later branched out on his own doing cars at his home from 1995 until life changing events that happened in 2017.

Rick departed this life on Sunday, January 29, 2023, surrounded by his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of 40 years (30 years married): Sandra Jones Ruff; three daughters: Angela Ruff Brown ( Juan) of Kansas City, Mo., Nyia Ruff of Kansas City, Mo, and  Camille James of Kansas City Mo; two brothers: Prentis O'Neal of Chicago Illinois, and Kenneth Ruff of St Louis Mo; one sister: Marquetta Duke of St Louis Mo; a special friend he called his little brother: Isaac Walls(Stephanie); five grandchildren: Montez Sinton, Kwatez Sinton, Kena Sinton, Nahjaya Ruff(Nae Nae), and Demarko Webb; two great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
