Opal Nelson

Opal Louise Nelson, 63, was born April 3, 1953 to the loving parents, Leo Nelson and Elizabeth Parker in Little Rock, Arkansas. Both parents, mother-in- law Florida Mayberry, two sisters Joyce Nelson and Norma Jean Parker and son Lonnell Mayberry III preceded her in death. She was employed at Linwood Early Childhood Center in Kansas City, MO. Opal enjoyed life to the fullest and was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and devoted wife, united in marriage to Lonnell Mayberry Sr. on June 12, 1976, welcoming four children. She mostly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She accepted Christ early in life and had faith in the Lord. She departed this life December 27, 2016 at Research Hospital. She will be solely missed and her memory cherished forever. Opal leaves to cherish in her memory three daughters Theresa Mayberry, Tanya Mayberry, Jacqueline Mayberry; Ex-husband Lonnell Mayberry Sr.; Three brothers Larry Parker, Willie Parker and Bryant Walker, One sister Sharon Parker; Five grandchildren Tenisha Mayberry Dominick Mayberry, Cameron Mayberry and Rodney Williams; Three great grandchildren Cortez Wasson, Jamaya Mayberry, Lyric Innis-Dixon, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
