Otis Tyson

Otis Lee Tyson was born September 30, 1948 in Bivins, Texas to the late Otis V. Tyson and Martha (Jenkins) Tyson. To This union, five sons were born; James, Robert, Happy, and Otis are deceased, and one surviving son; Richard Tyson. As a young man, Otis moved from Texas to California and then to Kansas City, Missouri. Otis has three children; Otis Lee Tyson Jr (South Dakota), Anna Sayles (Texas), Reva Tyson Ford (KCMO); three grandchildren. He helped raise several children; Martice, who proceeds him in death, LaDonia, Alida, Ranava, Rashidi, Ranasha, Renesha, Herlina, and Dominique McDonald. For over 50 years, he was well known as a prestigious cement finisher. He owned "Fix It Inc Tyson Construction." We worked concrete. He was known for helping young men to start their singing careers. He loved fishing, and he would help anyone. He especially loved children. On Thursday December 12, 2016, Otis departed this earthly life at Truman Medical Center. He will be deeply missed.
