Shortly after graduating, he began his professional journey with the Internal Revenue Service, where he dedicated over 30 years of faithful service. His work ethic and commitment earned him the respect of his colleagues and the pride of his family. After retiring, Otis remained active, taking on various roles and continuing to lend his skills and time where needed.
Otis accepted Christ at a young age and held onto his faith throughout his life. He lived with compassion, patience, and quiet strength, reflecting the love of God in all he did.
In his earlier years, Otis was united in marriage to Trudy Kelley, and out of that union came his beloved son, Cornelius Washington—a source of great pride and joy in his life. Otis beamed with pride watching his son grow and succeed, always supporting him with unwavering love.
