Pagerine Tuggle

Pagerine Tuggle was born on January 11, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the union of Lavoy Tuggle and Bertha Tuggle. She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City and a woman who deeply valued family, hard work, and togetherness.

Pagerine was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her brothers, Gary Tuggle, Larry Tuggle, and Tyrone Tuggle; and her sister, Bertha Profitt.

Pagerine attended Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri, where she developed values of service, resilience, and community that guided her throughout her life. She worked in several occupations over the years, always known for her strong work ethic and dedication, and ultimately retired from the City of Kansas City, Missouri, in 2013. Pagerine was admired for her professionalism, kindness, and dependable spirit, leaving a meaningful impression on her coworkers and all those she served.

Outside of work, Pagerine found great joy in cooking and was well known for her delicious meals that brought comfort and happiness to family and friends. Her kitchen was a gathering place filled with love, laughter, and shared memories. A devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Pagerine proudly supported her team, cheering them on with enthusiasm and pride whenever they took the field.

Pagerine leaves to cherish her memory her three loving children: Tobie Draper; Donyel Murray (Essence), and Titanita “Nikki” Murray. She was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren.

She also leaves behind her siblings: Donna Joe Johnson (Robert), Kevin Tuggle (Rhonda), Victor Tuggle; sister-in law, Glenda Tuggle; brother-in-law, Sheldon Proffitt, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Pagerine Tuggle will be remembered for her loving spirit, her generosity, her strength, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew and loved her.
