Pamela Ann France

Pamela France, 68, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, surrounded by her loving family.

Pamela was born on June 15, 1957, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Howard Morgan and Joe Ann Garnett-Morgan. She was raised in Kansas City, Missouri, where she built lifelong connections and cherished memories. Pamela accepted Christ at an early age and maintained membership at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS until her health failed her.

Pamela graduated from Paseo High School and continued her education at Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City, Missouri, where she earned her Associate’s degree.

In 1979, Pamela married Marcus France Sr., and to this union three beautiful children were born: Marquita Thomas (Mario), Sha’Rone France, and Marcus France Jr. Although this union was later dissolved, Pamela maintained a close and loving relationship with her in-laws. She shared a special bond with her mother-in-law, Martilla France, who preceded her in death, and her sisters-in-law, Delisa Cadenhead (Sidney) and Tyra France of Kansas City, Missouri

Pamela dedicated over 30 years of service to Blue Cross and Blue Shield, where she was known for her strong work ethic, kindness, and commitment to helping others. She also worked at KU Medical Center and University Health. No matter where she worked, Pamela was respected, admired, and loved by her coworkers and friends.

Outside of her professional life, Pamela’s greatest joy was her family. She expressed her love through cooking and spending quality time with those she held dear. She especially cherished moments with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her life.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents and both maternal and paternal grandparents; her sister, Deborah Morgan; and her beloved daughter, Sha’Rone France.

Pamela leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Michael Morgan of Kansas City, Missouri; her daughter, Marquita Thomas (Mario) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; her son, Marcus France of Kansas City, Missouri; her grandchildren Mario, Marquis, and Marion Thomas, all of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; beloved aunt Doris Choate of Los Angeles, California and cousin Cynthia Roberson-Kelley of Kansas City, Kansas; along with a host of relatives and friends who will continue to honor her legacy.

Pamela will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the love she shared so freely. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
