Sister Parthenia M. Becton departed this life on April 26, 2025, at the University Health Truman Medical Center, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on April 22, 1936, in Arlington, Tennessee to Alvin Becton and Claressa King-Becton.
She grew up in Memphis Tennessee, and later graduated from high school in St. Louis, Missouri.
Sister Parthenia has been a member of the Nation of Islam since the 60’s. and at one time she proudly served as Sister Captain. She was a caregiver for 40 years. She was the landscapes for the city of Kansas City, Barney Allis Plaza, Kemper Arena, 18th & Vine District, Save Corp, and the Health Department for many years. She also worked for Regal Restaurant as a waitress.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Claressa King-Becton, father, Alvin Becton, first husband, Fredrick Lamar Vickers, Sr, second husband, Shedric Levi Green, brothers, Alvin Becton, Herbert Becton, Edward Becton, and her grandson, Zahir F. Miller.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Frederick Lamar Vickers (Lavetta), Victor Duane Vickers (Lavern), Shreitha Annette Green, Nyilta Thenyetta Webster (Anthony), grandchildren, Michael Green, Larissa Grayson (Matthew), Michael Williams (Tiletha), Keyonia Hudson, Latissa Curtis (Wilson), D’Mario Gray, Victor Duane Vickers, Jr, Garron Briggs, Frederick Vickers (Sibree), Jerron Briggs (Darriauna), Sherena Vickers, Sidney Webster (Paul), Gary Briggs, Jr. Victor Dwayne Vickers, Tarro Briggs, Malique Webster, Myracle Morris, Anthony Webster, Jr (Anissa), and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, family and friends.
