Pastor Thomas L. Maben, 72, departed this life on February 14, 2023 at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. He was born on September 2, 1950, in Sikeston, Missouri to Sam Maben, Sr., and Iona Wright-Maben.
He received an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering. He later joined the Navy Reserve. He worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as an electrician, where he worked for 35 years
Pastor Maben was the Pastor of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ for 14 years. He was involved in the Railroad Union with his job, and he was also part of the Missouri Western Second Jurisdiction Evangelism Department.
He married Anna Marie Maben on April 5, 2008, in Kansas City, Missouri. They were happily married for 14 ½ years.
Pastor Maben is preceded in death by his parents: Sam Maben, Sr., and Iona Wright-Maben; and his brother: Sam Maben, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his everlasting memories his wife: Anna Marie Maben; Pastor Maben and Ora Nell Maben had five daughters: Tonja (Paul) Chambers, Christa (Michael) Jackson, Karena (Cletus) Wilkins, Amy (Steven) de Vries, and Kathy (Manish) Khanna; his grandchildren: Cory Herbert, Michalla Jackson, Micha Wilkins, Adanya de Vries, Walter Wilkins, and Zachariah de Vries; one nephew, and a host of cousins, other relative and friends.
