Lula Garland Williams, 76, transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, October 20, 2022, surrounded by her family at her residence in Independence, Missouri. She was born on February 2, 1946, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Dorothy Mae Smith. Dr. Williams grew up in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and graduated from Southeast High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Upon graduating she attended Faith Bible College in Kansas City, Missouri where she received a Doctorate Degree in Theology.
Dr. Lula Williams was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Smith; son, Robert Earl Wesley; and great grandson; Jeriah Cherry.
She is survived by her daughters, Elaine C. Gibson, and Breea L. Williams; sons, Raymond B. Wesley, Kenneth R. Wesley, Mark A. Wesley, Richard A. Wesley (Janiese), and Bobby Williams Jr. (Rolanda); grandchildren, Chrishanna Cherry (Lamar), Henry Gibson Jr.(Janene), Jason Gibson, Earl Wesley , Lekisha Ellis (Edward), Kiea Wesley, Shakina Wesley, Christian Wesley, Deshawn Williams, Keanni Williams, Jadyn Williams, Bree’Shanna Brown, Miracle Newton, Jakobi Newton, Sheena Wesley, Latwon Wesley, and Raelyn Wesley; great-grandchildren, Kemontae, Earl Jr, Tajah, (Jeriah), Jadelyn, Chrislynn, Janiyah, Jayvion and Gerimyah; honorable family members, Bobby Williams, Sr., L. V. Wesley, Henry Gibson, Sr., Angela F. Jones, Michael Newton, and Antoine Slayden.
