Patricia Ann Glenn, affectionately known as, "Pat", was born on May 1, 1949, in Kansas City, MO to LeRoy Brown and Fannie Stricklin. She was also raised by a loving stepfather, Olis "Jake" Nelson. Pat was called to her heavenly home on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
Pat grew up in the Kansas City area. She attended Paseo High School and graduated from Alladin Beauty College, beginning her career as a cosmetologist right from her home salon. She also had various other career interest, such as, working for Camp Fire Boys and Girls for many years, Lake City Army Ammunition Plant and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
Pat attended Pilgram's Rest Missionary Baptist Church as a young child, where she was baptized. She later became a member of Ebenezer AME Church, both located in Kansas City, MO. Pat enjoyed cooking, catering parties with her mother, watching cooking shows and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her stepfather, one brother, Curtis Stricklin; three aunts: Frances Pitts, Rosemary Calmes, Viola Gillespie; and, one uncle, Lewis Stricklin Jr.
Left to cherish Pat's sweet memory: her loving husband, Anthony L. "Tony" Glenn Sr., Kansas City, KS; two daughters: Lisa M. Smith, Kansas City, MO and Tamela L. Smith, Atlanta, GA; one son, Mark A. Norman (Tina), Kansas City, KS: stepchildren: Laurie Glynn, Monica Glynn, Dionne Glenn, all of Kansas City, MO; Anitanita Glenn, Atlanta, GA, Carlton Glynn, Anthony Glenn Jr., both of Kansas City, MO, and Marcus Glenn, Denver, CO; her siblings: Kermit L. Stricklin (Ruth), Phoenix, AZ, Steven Nelson and Nancee Manning, both of Kansas City, MO; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
