Patricia Kirkwood

Patricia Ann Kirkwood was born in Kansas City, Mo July 2, 1954, to the union of Richard Dean Wilson, Sr., and Bobbie Jean Bradley. Patricia was preceded in death by both parents; Five brothers, Cornell Wilson, Tommy Wilson, Richard Wilson, Jr., Kilm? Wilson and Leon Wilson; Five sisters, Rachel Allen, Brenda Satterfield, Bonita Davis, Edwina Wilson and Mildred Smith; Great-grandson, Tremel Gilliams, Jr., (Ganny Baby).

Patricia met Charles Major Kirkwood the love of her life and they soon became one on July 2, 1976. To this union they had four children. Anyone who knows them knows their history, their love for their children and grandchildren. Patricia was known for her great sense of humor; she was outspoken, didn’t bite her tongue—and she loved a good cocktail.

Patricia was educated in the Kansas City, MO School District. She attended Lincoln High School, Manual and Southeast High School. She worked several jobs throughout her life. Patricia loved cooking and was last employed with Trinity Nursing & Rehab in dietary.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 45 years, Charles M. Kirkwood of the home, daughter, Carmilla (Leon) Wilson-Woods of Lee’s Summit, MO, son, Charles (LaTanya) Wilson of Raymore, MO, son Romel Wilson of Kansas City, MO and daughter, Simone Kirkwood and Tremel Gilliam, Sr. of  Lee’s Summit, MO, one brother, Michael Wilson, and three sisters, Deborah Craddock, Wendell Jones, Carmen Carr; Mother-in-Law Shirley Kirkwood, sister-in-law, Brenda Kirkwood, brother-in-law, Earnest Kirkwood;  18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
