Patricia A. (Nugent) Wilson, known affectionately to family as “Boo” and to friends as “Pat” was born on February 3, 1958, in Kansas City, MO to parents Mary Marcella & Samuel L. Nugent. Patricia was preceded in death by both parents, mother- in-law Freddie B. Thorn, siblings, Lester Nugent and Ada Yvonne Taylor, niece, Demetria Nugent and her very special aunt Elaine Ginn.

Patricia was educated in the Kansas City Public School system and was a graduate of Southeast High School in the Class of 1976. She worked for Martin Luther King Hospital, Research Medical Center, and later retired from the Kansas City Star newspaper in 2020.

Boo “Pat” was the most kind-hearted person and would help any and everyone. She never knew a stranger. She loved to laugh and have a good time, some would say she was the reason everything was so funny and why we all laughed as much as we did, due to her keep it real, but down to earth personality something that made people gravitate to her.

She enjoyed time with her friends (Charlene Curry, Josephine Nash and Rita Reliford) and family, but her life’s biggest enjoyment was loving and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Boo “Pat” will always be remembered as the one to call if you were going to be late to the family gathering to have her put your plate up, because we all knew she would have a good five or more to-go plates hidden somewhere. She will truly be missed but always remembered.
