Patsy L. McGregor, affectionately known to some as Beemie, was born on September 28, 1959, in Quanah Texas. She was next to the youngest of the seven children, born to the union of Fred Jackson and Floyd L. Jackson. Patsy departed this earth on October 16, 2023, at St. Joseph Medical Center.
Although she didn’t graduate high school, she attended Quanah High School, in Quanah Texas. Patsy moved to the Kansas City area in 1980, to get a fresh start. She was employed at several nursing homes in the laundry department throughout the years, until her health did not allow her to work anymore.
Early in life, Patsy attended Palestine Missionary Baptist Church, under the direction of Pastor Earl Abel, where she gave her life to Christ. Patsy moved to Bastrop Louisiana in 2004, and then returned to Kansas City area in 2019. She did not have a church home but, would attend church if her health allowed her to. Nevertheless, she was a God fearing and praying woman.
Patsy enjoyed being a mother, but really enjoyed being a grandmother to her eighteen grandchildren ranging form the age of twenty-eight years old, to one year old.
Patsy was proceeded in death by both of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jackson, brother Ned R. Jackson, sisters, Anita P. Jackson, Sharon I. Jackson, Sandra L. Alexander, one daughter, Cornelia D. McGregor, three nephews, Victus L. Jackson, Dante L. Humphries and Floyd Jackson.
Patsy is survived by her significant other, R.C. Ricks, daughters, Patsy Reed (Kenneth), Keisha Spears, Ternesa Spears, sons, Jessie McGregor (Stephanie), Ronald Spears, and Rontez Spears. Grandchildren, Cortez Jackson, Victor James, Ken’Drick Reed, Akara Hamilton, Ke’Andra Reed, Roy Spears, Andrian Coale, Herbert Hickman Jr., Jackson McGregor, Imalaysha Hickman, Maddox McGregor, Jason Jones Jr., David Spears, Aiyanna Hickman, Ahnevah Hickman, Avayah Hickman, Rontez Spears Jr., Makai Spears, two sisters Debra and (Ross) Mackey, Pam (Ted) Ponds, one brother Fred Jackson Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
