Listen to Obituary

Quintin Thomas Malone was born on April 6, 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Rose L. and Grant T. Malone. He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Grant T. Malone, and his older brother, Patrick L. Malone.

From an early age, Quintin showed a deep connection to his faith, accepting Jesus Christ into his heart early in life at the Swope Parkway Church of Christ. He found great joy in riding the church bus with his friends, an experience that left a lasting impression on him.

Quintin was a proud member of the Class of 1985 at Southwest High School, where he made his mark not only as a dedicated student but also as a talented athlete. His commitment to his team was evident in his contributions to the football program, where he was celebrated for his skills and determination.

A hard worker from the start, Quintin displayed an exceptional work ethic even as a teenager. At just 13 years old, he began earning money by helping out his neighbors with yard work, a sign of his drive and determination to contribute. For more than 20 years, Quintin worked as a semi-truck driver for C&C Produce, where he was known for his punctuality, dependability, and strong commitment to his job. He earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues, who appreciated his dedication and reliability.

Quintin shared a special bond with his father over their love of cars, particularly his cherished Cadillac, fondly called "The Mothership." He had a passion for staying up to date with the latest technology, loved bowling with his children, and could always be counted on to cheer passionately for his Kansas City Chiefs. Quintin also loved his mother, Rose so much. Those closest to him affectionately teased him for being a "Mama’s Boy," a title he wore proudly with a smile, always quick to say, "You got that right."

Quintin is preceded in death by father, Grant T. Malone; his older brother, Patrick L. Malone; his maternal grandfather, Lee W. Burton, and his paternal grandparents, Jamison and Eva Malone. While these loved ones are no longer with us, their memories continue to live on in our hearts.

Quintin left us on December 26, 2024, at Belton Regional Medical Center. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, and he will be deeply missed. He lives to cherish his precious memories his devoted mother, Rose L. Malone, his seven children – Sonya, Sylvia, Quinton Jr., Levi (Keturah), Amanda Roseann, Dominick, and Natalie – and his brother, Grant Cook. Quinton Quintin’s extended family in Chicago, IL, Coldwater, MS, and Kansas City, MO, will forever carry his memory in their hearts. His life touched the lives of countless friends and relatives, all of whom will cherish his spirit, his humor, and the love he shared.

Quintin’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, his presence remains, and we will forever celebrate the life of this remarkable man.
