Richard D Ashby

Richard Dewayne Ashby (“Ricky D) and to many others (“Little Rick”), 41, of Belton, Missouri was born August 4, 1978 to Renita Y. Ashby and Rickey E. Miller. He attended the Kansas City Missouri School District. Richard was very talented and willing to try anything.

Eager to tackle a challenge he held multiple positions of employment. He had worked as a cook, truck driver, assembler, warehouseman, packer, railroad porter, many others. As he would say “I Do What I Do.”

Richard was a member of Trinity Temple Church of God In Christ and attended services regularly.

He was preceded into death by his maternal grandmother Angela R. Turner, paternal grandparents Luther and Earlene Miller, special cousins Deon Drew, Derrick Ashby, stepdad Kevin C. Strong Sr., brother Charles W. Strong, his children’s mother Arnice “Puddy” Combs.

Richard leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Benita Y. Strong and Rickey E. Miller, daughters Rickea Combs-Ashby, Ashlee S. Combs-Ashby; brother Kevin C. Strong Jr.; sister Kierra Miller; special friends Damien Ashley, Teneisha Ashley, Robbè Turner, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
