Richard “Ricky” Jackson, 67, passed away on January 21, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on July 23, 1958, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Daniel and Ruth Jackson.
Richard grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Central High School in 1976 and later attended business college.
Richard was a loving and kind-hearted man whose life reflected God’s love through service, generosity, and genuine care for others. He found great joy in being around people and had a sincere spirit that made everyone feel welcomed and valued.
Throughout his life, Richard served in many ways; working at the police station, driving limousines, and taking pride in detailing cars with excellence and care. He was also blessed with the gift of cooking and shared that joy through his omelet business.
He especially loved bringing people together and took pride in planning his class reunions, creating opportunities for fellowship, laughter, and lasting memories. Richard’s life was a beautiful example of love in action, and his legacy of kindness, service, and connection will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Ruth Jackson; his brothers, Daniel “Danny” Jackson Jr., Leroy Jackson (Georgia), and Maurice Jackson; his niece, Jeanette Jackson and brother in law; Warren Foreman.
He leaves behind loved ones who mourn his passing: Shalishia, Shondricka, Shanise, and Kayson; his siblings, Marylin Foreman, Gary “Herby” Jackson (Carolyn), and Janita Jackson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, sister in law; Donnice Jackson, and friends. Also a special friend, Delores Fortune.
Though Richard has departed this life, his soul lives on in God’s eternal care. His love, faith, and spirit remain with us, guiding our hearts and reminding us that he will never be forgotten. His legacy lives on through all who carry his memory forward.
