Richard Lee Williams (Chin) 67, departed this life on February 1, 2019 at VA Medical Center. He was born on November 5, 1951 to John Williams and Mattie Williams of Moberly, Missouri.

He was preceded into death by his father; John Wilmur Williams, stepfathers; Wilmus Williams and Joe Holloway; special aunt; Catherine Viley, two sisters; Shirley Williams and Teresa Jo Williams, one niece; Natalie Williams, and one great niece; Precious Williams.

Richard Lee known as (Chin) to many went to Sparton High School in Moberly, Missouri. Following high school, he went straight to the Navy and served 9 years before his discharge. He then went on to work as a manager at a Gas Station in Dallas, Texas. He then went to work at various warehouse jobs until right before he ill he worked as a printer operator at Assurant Inc. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member at Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of pastor James A. Terrance, Jr.

Richard Lee enjoyed spending time his “FAMILY” and “Church Family”, and friends. He never met a stranger and was very caring person he was always concerned how others were feeling even when he fell ill, he still was always caring about others. He loved every sport. He loved to play dominos, cards, going out to eat, to the movies, and he loved to travel.

Richard Lee leaves to cherish his memories, his lovely wife; Yvonne Williams, his mother; Mattie Holloway, three sons; Brian (Karmell) Thomas of Detroit , MI, Richard Williams, Jr., of Dallas, Texas, Clarence Jr., of Memphis, Tennessee, five daughters; Tiyota (Ismail) Alluqdah), Monica Thorpe, LaKetra Williams, Sequlia Williams all of Dallas, Texas, Yacira (Bruce) Hale of Springfield, Illinois. Seven brothers; Jerry Harvey of Atlanta, Georgia, Kenny Williams of Columbia, Missouri, John (Geneva) Williams of Huntsville, Missouri, Stevie Williams, Grady Lee (Carla) Williams of Dallas, Texas, Robert Williams and Randolph Williams of Kansas City, Missouri., five sisters; Tila Boose, Molly (Nathaniel) Rogers, Dorothy Gatewell of Kansas City, Missouri, Ida McNeal and Virginia Whitfield of Columbia, Missouri., thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, once special cousin; Columbus Robins, one special niece; Wilma Wells, John Williams of North Carolina, Stephen Williams, of Kansas City, Missouri, Marshall Galbreath of Columbia, Missouri, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, five sisters and five brother in laws.
