Robert Lee Epps, Jr., passed from earth to glory on August 27, 2020 in Independence, Missouri.  He was born on May 21, 1937 to the union of Robert Lee Epps, Sr., and Narcis Riley in Lexington, Mississippi. He accepted Christ at an early age and continued to witness his faith daily.  He received his license in the Ministry from Word of Truth Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood, Mississippi on November 7, 2004.

He received his former education in Kansas City.  He continued his education at Ferris State University.  Robert was employed by Ferris State University, retiring in 1999.  He started his own business; R & E Heating and Cooling, until his health failed him.

He united in holy matrimony to Annie Laura English.  To this union, five children were bore; Odestra, Gloria, Roy, Edward, and JL.

Robert, affectionately called "Grand Dad" by his children and grandchildren, was a loving grandfather and had a great sense of humor.  He loved remodeling houses.

Robert Epps was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nacris Epps; one son, Roy Lee Epps; three brothers, Louis Collins, Edward Brown, and Clarence Brown; two adopted sons, Horace Brown, and Lee Henry McGary; and one grandson, Travis Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memoried two daughters, Odestra Smith, and Gloria Hooker (L.C.) of Kansas City, Missouri; three sons, J.L. Epps (Junita), Edward Epps both of Kansas City, Missouri, and Larry Epps (Quince), of Greenwood, Mississippi; and adopted daughter, D. Paula Epps of Greenwood Mississippi; twelve grandchildren, forty grandchildren, twenty great-great grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives.
