Robert A. Luster was born January 12, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri to Edward T. Luster, Sr. and Jewell Luster who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his oldest brother, Edward T. Luster, Jr. Robert A. Luster attended the Kansas City School District where he graduated from Central High School. He later received a certificate in Automotive. Robert worked in the janitorial services for the Kansas City School District and Rockhurst University and later became co-owner of R&F Janitorial Services. Robert is known for his giving spirit. He was known by "Pops" by many people in his community. Robert did not hesitate to open his home up for many who needed a place to stay. He encouraged and helped where he could. He didn't have a lot but what he had, he was willing to share. Robert A. Luster married Florence M. Luster, July 19, 1982. To this union four children were born. He loved and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He departed this life on August 25, 2016, at Reasearch Medical Center. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; wife, Florence M. Luster of Overland Park, Kansas; children, Karema Y. Luster, La'Tessia M. Luster (Robert) of Overland Park, Kansas, Rashid A. Luster (Krystal) of Kansas City, Missouri, Bilal A. Luster (Malou) of San Jose, California; three sisters, Annie Bea Luster and Wanda Jean Luster; two brothers, Jackie Luster and David Luster (Tina) all of Kansas City Missouri; sixteen grandchildren, Porshawn, Tierra, Teriana, Malikk, Ka'Preece, Quinlan, Rashid Jr, Davion, David, Shaleah, Alyssa, Darrious, Raheem, Ashjahlay, Iona and Arnas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
