Robert B. Miller, 58, passed away on December 17, 2020 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. He was born on October 14, 1962 in Kansas City, MO to Robert Wilson and Evelyn Black. He grew up in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, MO., where he was a member of the varsity football team as a linebacker. After high school he attended Clearfield Job Corps Center in Clearfield, UT., where he received a certification in Building Maintenance. He began working for Trinity Lutheran Hospital as an Environmental Service Tech where he worked for seventeen years. He worked for Research Medical Center as a Landscaper where he worked for fifteen years. He worked for Truman Medical Centers as an Environmental Service Senior Tech for three years.
He was involved in the Truman Medical Centers SEIU Union as a Stewart. He was a member of St Mark's Baptist Church and Canaan Worship Center in Kansas City, MO. Robert loved jazz music, dancing, cooking, and playing cards. He also enjoyed watching football on television and was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. Robert was a Christian, accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at a young age. He was devoted to the teachings of the Bible. He was a hands-on person who loved the outdoors and was an avid landscaper. He loved his sons, his sisters, his brothers, his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was a caring person that loved people.
He was preceded into death by his parents: Robert Wilson, Evelyn Black, Fred Hicks, and Lillie May Hicks; his brothers: Anthony Charles Miller, Homer F. Johnson, and Ricky Hicks; his nephew: Delshon Dupriest.
He is survived by his children: Tacorio Jermaine Miller (ShaBrea ) and Robert Kristopher Miller; his stepchildren: Jennifer Holliday-Bowman (Emit) and Stephen Wendell Walker, Jr. (Whitney); his sisters: Jamesetta Hood (Jerry), Julia Hicks Jones, and Marcella Patterson; his brother: Danny Hicks; his aunts: Emma Jean Evans and Naomi Rogers; his nephew: Stephen Johnson; his niece: Danise Box; his grandchildren: Ryan Strickland Jr., A’Naya Duncan, Tacorio Jermaine Miller Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and hospital families.
