Robert Randolph Sr, 88, transitioned into eternal life on August 30, 2023 at home, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on August 19, 1935 in Eudora, Arkansas to Albertha Jenkins and Ed Randolph. He graduated from Eudora High School. He married Thara Mae Morehouse soon after high school in April 1955. They were happily married for 68 years.

They moved to Kansas City, MO in 1959. He worked various jobs before getting hired at Lake City Ammunition Plant. Due to lay-offs at Lake City, he decided to leave. He found a job at Union Pacific Railroad, advanced to foreman and retired after 25 years.

Robert enjoyed sports, especially baseball. He played baseball throughout his youth and as a young adult. His sons all followed behind him and also played baseball throughout their youth. Robert also enjoyed fishing, bowling and sports in general. He watched sports all the time. Lastly, he enjoyed reading and studying the bible. He read the entire bible every year.

Robert became a member, was baptized and ordained a deacon at New Light Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor L. Wilkes. He took bible classes at Carver Baptist College. During the Civil Rights Era while attending a meeting, he met Reverend A. L. Johnson Sr. He eventually joined Pastor Johnson’s church, Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Later, he joined New Day Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Frank Selkirk. Lastly, he joined Concord Fortress of Hope under the leadership of Reverend Ron Lindsay. He continued to be a deacon and was a counselor enrolling new members and Men of Faith.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Ed Randolph; his mother, Albertha White; his brothers, Eddie Randolph and Andrew Toney; his sister, Bertha White; his sister, Anna Shannon; and his grandson, Carlos Randolph.

Robert was survived by his wife, Thara; his brothers Walter White (Patricia), Albert White, Tom White, (Oweader) and Isaac Randolph; his sisters Lauraret Newkirk, Sally Burden (Raymond), Ocie White, Beatrice Williams, and Eloise Worsham. He was survived by his children Litha, Dale, Charles, Robert Jr, and Kenyon Randolph, Gale Cephus, and a special son, Vince Buckner. He was survived by grandchildren, Donzell Randolph (Sabrina), Dale Harper, Devin Williamson, Darius Randolph, Sean Randolph, Jamal, Ebony, and Terry Love, Erick and Jerqueta Green. He was survived by a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, many aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
