It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Keith Weaver, our beloved brother, father, uncle, and friend. Robert departed this world on October 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Born on January 18, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, Robert was a man who lived life on his own terms, embodying a spirit of independence and unyielding pride. Robert gave his life to the Lord on January 21, 1973. He was the son of Ms. Gladys Murel Weaver, and he was predeceased by his dear mother. Despite the challenges life presented, Robert always carried himself with dignity and resilience.
Robert's heart overflowed with love for his family, particularly for his three sisters—Regina Diana Wheeler, Phyllis Terri Martin, and Robin Francine Kelley, and his beloved daughter, Keyoda Chaney. He also shared a special bond with his nephews, Julian J. Weaver, Julano J. Kelley, Aaron Hairston, and his nieces, Dana Butler and Muriel Weaver-Dowdy. Robert was “Uncle Rob” to a host of younger family members who will miss him dearly. His family was his greatest source of joy and pride.
An alumnus of Paseo High School; Class of 1972, Robert was a man of many interests, with a particularly keen passion for chess. The game was not only a pastime for him but a reflection of his strategic mind and thoughtful nature. His loyalty and proud demeanor were evident in all his endeavors, and he approached each day with a generous heart and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.
As we gather to remember him, we do so in the spirit of the love and laughter he brought into our lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to Robert's generous spirit.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. They wish to share this special message: "Robert was a loving brother, father, and uncle. His memory will forever remain in our hearts."
May Robert Keith Weaver rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love he so richly deserved.
