Robert Earl Williams Sr., age 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 9, 2018 at Providence Place Rehabilitation Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Robert was born December 3, 1943 in Uriah, Alabama to Rufus and Jessie Mae (Rankin) Williams. To cherish his memory, Robert leaves his first wife Paulette and their two children, Robert Jr. and Robyn.
Robert was a hardworking man in construction, electrical, plumbing, home remodeling, and automotive repairs. Without formal education or training, he was a genius who possessed
"mother-wit", ingenuity, and skills that would put PhDs to shame. He was a jack of all trades who could do anything he put his mind to do. He was known to be able to fix anything and many flocked to him for his services. He was generous and giving and was known to help many in their time of need. After work was done, Robert lived his life to the fullest through the simple pleasures of laughter and hanging out with family and friends. Many were positively touched by his humor and his ability to weave a funny story to brighten your day.
Robert's second wife, Geraldine (Parker) Williams preceded him in death. He is survived by three step-children Brian (Valerie) Parker, Nathaniel Parker, and Rita (Virgil) Golden who he raised as his own and who lovingly called him "Pops".
Robert is also survived by two brothers, Ardester and George; seven sisters, Bernice, Ernestine, Mary, Joyce, Carolyn, Josie, Patricia; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who love him.
Others who preceded him in death also include his parents; five brothers, Rufus Jr., Charles, Levester, Johnny, and Dan; and two sisters, Ann and Lucille.
