Rodger Dennis Jedine was the 2nd of 4 children born to Willie George Jedine and Mary Alice Trigg. He departed this life at approximately 2:30am on February 9, 2024.
Rodger attended Southeast Sr. High School and graduated in 1968.
He worked for the Kansas City Star Newspaper until 1971. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1972 where he began a lifelong career. Rodger was dedicated to the Air Force and was decorated with medals and badges of loyalty and bravery.
He was awarded Air Force Achievement Medal with 1 Bronze oak leaf cluster, AF Good Conduct Medal with 4 Bronze oak leaf clusters, and National Defense Service Medal with 1 Bronze star.
He was also awarded the AF Overseas sort tour Ribbon with 2 Bronze oak leaf clusters and AF Overseas Long Tour Ribbon with 2 Bronze oak leaf clusters.
He served August 2, 1990, to May 31, 1992, in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm.
He retired after 18 years of service and resided in San Antonio, TX.
He leaves to cherish his memory his two brothers, Willie George Jedine, Jr., and Michael Raymond Jedine and his only sister Mary Alice Jedine (Parks) and a host of other relatives and friends.
