Rosie Carruthers

Rosie Lee Carruthers, passed away on October 5, 2020 at Research Medical Center, in KCMO. She was born on December 8, 1943 in Jackson Mississippi to Tom Davis and Ida Lucille Davis. She grew up in KCMO. Rosie attended Central High School and later attended Rockhurst College. She worked in the transportation field as a driver for over 20+ years. Rosie loved being in plays, writing poetry and serving on the Usher Board. She was preceded into death by her parents Tom Davis and Ida Lucille Davis, two siblings Felton Brown and Usher Brown. Rosie leaves to cherish her memories one sister Minnie Bagby; six children: Teresa Pryor, Anthony Burks, Pvon Burks, Rosslyn Gunn, Arvetta Campbell, Shiron Norah; one honorary son Calvin McKinney; 29 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, she was loved by 3 generations and a host of other relatives and friends.
