Rosie (Clay) Johnson, age 69, passed away on December 27, 2020. She was born on March 13, 1951 to Jimmie Clay and Maebelle (Young) Clay. She attended Lincoln High School, class of 1969.
After high school, Rosie worked various jobs in the KC area.
She married Larry Johnson in 1978. They later moved to Albuquerque, NM for several years before returning to KC. After retirement, Rosie worked for Salvation Army and Hope Faith Ministries. She enjoyed those jobs and was very much involved in helping others.
She was preceded into death by husband, Larry Johnson, and her parents, Jimmie and Maebelle Clay.
Rosie did not have children but had close relationships with nieces, nephews and extended family. She also had special lifelong friends Sheila Livingston (preceded in death), Esmerelda James, Cheryl Burt, Cecilia Hamilton, Phillipia Walker, and Lou Canady. Rosie is survived by brother, Eddie (Bonnie) Clay and sister, Maxine Coffey, nieces Teresa (Dana) Moore, Tonia Potts, Rashonda Douthit, Corrie Royston and Devon Clay. Nephews Rodney (Anna) Clay and Gabe Bingham and a host of great and great great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
