Rosie Lee Seals was born to the late Charlie and AC Porter on April 7th, 1931, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was the second out of four children born to this union.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie, and AC; her sister, Martha Jimmerson and her two brothers Calvin Porter Sr and Eugene Porter.
Rosie later relocated to Saint Louis, Missouri where she worked for Weinbergh Cleaners for many years. Before heading out west to California to work as a nanny and housekeeper.
Within those years, on January 12, 1948, Rosie married Marion Seals Sr who also preceded her in death. They were blessed with 2 children, Marion (Billy) Seals Jr and her stepson Bobby Ray Seals.
Rosie was blessed to be an aunt to a number of nieces and nephews. She loved them immensely and prayed for them every day. Rosie had a special and close relationship with niece Gail Haynes and was excited to celebrate her shared birthday with nephew Michael Porter.
Rosie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She loved her church family. She was a member of Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was a committed and faithful laborer until her health began to fail. Rosie served on the usher board faithfully and regularly attended senior adult Sunday school and bible study.
God called her home to eternal peace on April 7, 2022. The Lord gave her the greatest birthday present by calling her home to his flock.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son Marion Seals of Kansas City; stepson Bobby Ray Seals of CA; Granddaughter, Tandra (Brian) Jones, three granddaughters, Bryana Jones, Laila Jones, and Julia Jones all of Kansas City; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
