Roy Lee Nickens Sr. was born on November 20, 1936, in Fulton, Missouri. He accepted Christ at a young age. He was preceded in death by his wife (Gwendolyn E. Nickens) and sister (Alberta Price).

Roy had retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service and from Woodley Janitorial Services for an additional 18 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Roy was a quiet man but was never was shy when it came to the Lord Jesus Christ. He was solely in love with Jesus and he let anyone who talked to him, know just how much. Roy was not crowd pleaser, but he worked every day of his life to please the Lord. The conversations, advice and the life lessons will greatly be missed.

Roy is survived by his three children, Kim M. Jones, Aaron A Nickens (Kansas City, MO) and Roy L. Nickens Jr. (Independence, MO). Brother, Robert L. Nickens (Kansas City, MO); eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends. We all love you and miss you dearly.
