Roy Lee Ward Jr.

Roy Lee Ward, Jr., 56, passed away on July 10, 2019 at Hwy 58 in Raymore, MO. He was born on March 2, 1963 in Kansas City, MO to Roy Ward, Sr and Mildred Ward. He grew up in Kansas City, MO. He received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Zion Grove Baptist Church. He loved to ride motorcycles. He attended Paseo High School in Kansas City MO. He began working for the Post Office as a Truck Driver where he worked for 32 years. He married Barbara Dodson-Ward on August 18, 2018 in Branson, MO. They were happily married for 11 months.

He was preceded in death by his father Roy Ward, Sr., his paternal and maternal grandparents, and his stepfather Rufus Murrell.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Dodson-Ward; mother Mildred Murrell; his brothers, Anthony Draper (Sylvia), Roy Franklin (Jackie), and Reggie Franklin (Myra); sisters, Sandra Draper, Sharon Moore, and Vanessa Lee; uncles, Otha Ward (Laverne), Ivory Ward (Jeanie), and Alfred Murrell (Bonnie); aunts, Clouis Washington and Ola Mae Sanders; God Mother, Frances Chapman; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
