Mrs. Ruby Lee Traylor Anderson, daughter of Sim and Emma Lomax, was born January 9, 1944 in Leland Mississippi. She attended public school in Mississippi, graduated, and moved to Kansas City, MO. She attended and graduated from nursing school, then worked as a nurse at Menorah Hospital for many years. Ruby professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Mt. Vernon Church where she is a dedicated member. At Mt. Vernon Ruby served faithfully as a First Aid and Treasury committee member.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Isiah Anderson in 1994. Together they have raised Nandi McMillon from a newborn to the present.
Ruby was an active member of the Mo. Nursing Assoc. Ruby’s life was as beautiful as the flowers she loved so well. She quietly departed this life Friday March 24, 2017 at Research Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her sons Terry Lee Lomax and Perry Lee Lomax, both of her parents and two brothers.
Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of those she leaves behind: husband, Isiah Anderson; daughters, Nandi McMillon and Sharon Davis; daughter-in-law, Paula Lomax; four brothers, Clarence Lomax, Melvin Lomax, Henry Lomax and JC Lomax (all of Kansas City, MO); three sisters, Helen Palmer, Edna Anderson and Sandy Johnston (also all of Kansas City, MO); and four grandchildren Tandren Roland (Travis), Cashawn Brown (Johnnie), Reginald Jones (Yontius) and Angel Jones; and 13 great grandchildren.
