Russell E. Avery Jr.

On December 3,1958, Russell Eugene Avery Jr. was born to Russell E. Avery Sr. and Zephyr Avery in Kansas City, MO.

Russell attended Greenwood Elementary School, Central Jr. Middle School, and Lincoln High School, where he graduated in the class of 1977. After high school, he attended Central Missouri State University, where he received his degree in business management. Russell worked extremely hard as Property Manager and continued in that field for over 3 decades and 20 years. During that time, he worked for H.J. Russell in Atlanta, GA.

While living in Atlanta, he joined The Last Days Church of God under the leadership of Apostle David and Pastor Belinda Pittmon. He served them faithfully, then upon relocating back to Kansas City, MO., he moved his membership to Trinity Temple, where he served on the security team until his untimely death.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Zephyr Avery and Russell E. Avery Sr., son Russell Avery III, brother Terrance Avery, stepson Brandon Jackson, and stepdaughter Zakia Marie Jackson.

Russell leaves to cherish his memory with his wife Rose Avery, daughters: Rochelle Marie Avery, Rachelle Arrington, and Lachelle Arrington all of Kansas City, MO.; Michelle Presswood of Atlanta, Ga.; Nicole Duke of North Liberty, IA; Rochelle Ogburn (Tim) of Charlotte, NC; stepdaughter Brandi Jackson of Atlanta, Ga.; stepsons: Quincy Jackson (Christie) of Locust Grove, Ga., and Christopher Jackson (Jomeckia) of Nashville, TN; sister-in-law Sheila Avery; seven-teen grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends
