Russell C. Cole, Jr. passed away on February 22, 2025, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on December 14, 1937, in Vian, Oklahoma, to Elder Russell C. Cole, Sr., and Beatrice L. Cole.

Russell was raised in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from R.T. Cole High School. In 1955, he proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he honorably served his country for four years. Following his military service, he embarked on a dedicated and accomplished career. He began as a foreman at Swift Packing House, where he worked for 14 years. While providing for his growing family he transitioned to Processors Inc. in 1972. He later gained experience as an over-the-road truck driver before pursuing his entrepreneurial ambitions, establishing Russ's Auto Body and Repair. After an impressive 50-year career, he retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, integrity, and dedication.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Russell was an active member of the Five Points Business Association, a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening and enhancing local businesses within the community.

In retirement, Russell embraced life with enthusiasm and adventure. He had a deep passion for fishing, hunting, motorcycle and jet ski riding, and boating. He was also a devoted member of his church and cherished the time spent with his family.

On September 1, 1955, Russell married Nina Jackson in Kansas City, Missouri, and they shared twenty-five wonderful years together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elder Russell C. Cole, Sr., and Beatrice L Cole; his daughter, Denise Johnson; and his sisters, Vona M. Tramble, Helen Harbin, Naomi Roundtree, and Dorothy Triplett.

Russell leaves behind a loving family to honor his memory, including his daughters, Sherry Cole and Laquita Givens; his son-in-law, David Givens; his sons, Victor Cole and Stacey Anderson; his brother, Leon Cole, and sister-in-law, Geneva Cole; his sister, Barbara Bowie; and his grandchildren: Gregory Cole, Anthony Grayson, Michael Ford, Taniesha Givens-Mariney, Natasha Cole, Russell Givens, Antwan Johnson, Asia Bonds, Chanel Holden, Alexis Anderson, and Stacey Anderson, Jr. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and a host of loving family members and friends.
