Ruth Mae Lambert

Ruth Mae Lambert, 80, gained her wings on August 23, 2018. Her transition to heavenly form took place at Palestine Garden in Kansas City, Missouri on a stormy Thursday afternoon. Ruth was born on November 27, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana to David Lambert and Selena Marshall Lambert.

Ruth grew up in the Big Easy and was a graduate at Booker T. Washington Senior Highschool. After high school Lambert began a journey of cooking with food that brought her family closer together for laughter and good times. She enjoyed spending time with family, breaking the casino every chance, she could, and making that good old New Orleans gumbo, jambalaya, and red beans in which she was known for.

Ruth devoted the last 35 years of life to her grandchildren, raising them as her own (LaKesa, Shena, Shonna, Michael, and Selena. In her spare time Lambert attended Just Schooling up until she passed.

She was preceded unto death by Parents; David Lambert Sr., and, Selena Marshall Lambert, children; Joseph Lambert, Raymond Stewart, Jeffery Stewart, grandchildren; Joseph Lambert Jr., Charles Stewart, and Jeremiah Taylor, siblings; Gloradine L. Douglas, David Lambert Jr., and Jerald Lambert.

She is survived by brother; Stanford Lambert, sister in laws; Ruby Lambert, Betty Lambert, children; Calvin Stewart, Michelle Stewart, Carla Stewart, and Michael Stewart, grandchildren; Teresa Brown, Cornell Brown, Franklin Lambert, Sabrina Williams, Jeffery Cash, LaKesa Stewart, Lisa Herny, Ashley Clay, Lloyd Vernado, Shena Smith, Shonna Garrett (Perin), Avery Stovall, Michael Smith, Aaron Spencer, Selena Cheneau, Tasia Anderson, Johneil Stovall, Kevin Stewart, Brendon Taylor, Alanna Smith, Malcolm Smith, Jordan Stewart, Beyoncé Stewart (Great Grandchildren) Franklin Allen, Stephon Smith, Melvin Smith, DaQuanna Henry, Miyoshi Smith, Diamond Addison, Earl Smith, Eric Smith, Rodericka Bowen, Orianna Smith, Darielle Thomas, Olivia Stewart, Donovan Stewart, DaNaysia Garrett, Paris Garrett, Samiya Smith, Kyrin Smith (Nieces) Geraldine Lambert, Kim Lambert, Ciranda Lambert, (Nephew) John Lambert and a host of other relatives and friends.
