Ruthie L. Hardy

Mother Ruthie L. Hardy of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on February 2, 2022, at her home.  She was the youngest child of Bessie and Leon Washington born on July 20, 1932, in Dumas, Arkansas.  She was united in holy matrimony on August 3, 1949, to Joel Hardy.  She confessed Christ at an early age and served on the Mothers’ Board of Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church, until her passing.

Mother Hardy is preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Joel Hardy, Sr; her oldest son, Joel Hardy, Jr; her mother, father, two brothers, and one sister.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four sons, Larry Hardy (LaVenia), Casteldaria Hardy, Herbert Hardy (Joyce), and Christopher Hardy; one daughter, Eunice Fisher (LaVaughn) of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Mattie M. Ward of Portland, Oregon, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
