Sandra Ann Williams departed this life on February 10, 2024, at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Willie Smith, Sr; two brothers, Willie Smith Jr., and Charles Smith.
Sandra was born on July 25, 1951, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. Sandra moved to Kansas City, Missouri. She worked for Great Plains Furniture, then as a Nurse Aide at St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City, and later worked for Hallmark Cards in Liberty, Missouri, where she retired after 38 years.
Sandra accepted Christ as her personal Savior. She was a member of Spruce St. Matthew Baptist Church. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her love, kindness, and good sense of humor will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory and her love, her husband of 50 years, Drue Williams; four children, Alonzo Smith (Jackren), Annette Jones, Yolanda Wilson (Charles), and Charissa Green. Two bonus children, Marcus Powell (Danyell), and Kiara Palmer (William); two sisters, Marilyn Marshall, and Laura Smith; four grandchildren, Payton Jones, Alonzo Smith Jr., Aaliyah Smith, and Ariana Green. She also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Joyce Cullen, and Voncile Williams, five brothers-in-law, John Williams (Patricia), Lorenzo Williams, Fred Williams (Patty), Dennis Williams (Sylvia), Darnell Williams, and a host of nieces and nephews.
