Santesha D. Johnson

Santesha Donte’ Johnson was born to Gloria Johnson and Gregory Strickland on September 5, 1981, in Kansas City, Missouri. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by her great-uncle, Reverend Kenneth Ray at Highland Baptist church. She was preceded in death by her father, Gregory Dean Strickland; maternal grandparents, (Edith Johnson and Milton Albury); paternal grandparents (Arthur and Gertrude Strickland); uncle, Byron Johnson; 1st cousin, Robert Johnson; and aunts, Renee McGautha, and Linda Strickland.

She was educated in the Kansas City and Center School districts. She was a graduate of Center High School and later attended ITT Technical Institute. She was employed with Bread Financial for 15 years until her health failed.

Santesha “LOVED” spending time with her family and friends. The simplest pleasures in life, like laughing out loud, singing her favorite songs, or just riding around in her car for hours brought great joy to her. Santesha’s “greatest accomplish” in life was being the mother of Aniya and Kerington. Santesha departed this life on Wednesday morning, April 12, 2023, at home.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her loving children, Aniya and Kerington Johnson; her devoted mother, Gloria Johnson; her devoted sisters, Camelia Johnson, Talese Johnson
