Sarah departed this earthly world on June 18, 2025, peacefully at her home with her daughters at her side. God decided Sarah had spent 81 years here on earth and her time was up. We all will miss Sarah so much, but God knows best.
Sarah was born to the union of William G. Allen Sr and Elizabeth (lizzie) Harrison Allen in Sunflower, Mississippi in 1943. Sarah’s parents and 10 siblings preceded her in death, and her husband, Ernest Fry.
Sarah attended several years at Central High school but graduated from Manual High School with a certificate in cosmetology. Sarah had varied employments; she worked for Russell Stover’s Company, Townley Hardware, and House of Lords, until they closed, and soon after she decided to retire in 1989. Sarah adored her 2 little girls; they were always dressed to the nines.
Sarah was adored by everyone. She enjoyed hosting guests and treated them kindly. Sarah was a great cook, and everybody gathered at her house on holidays and every day. She and her husband loved to travel.
Sarah leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters Regina Allen Ellis (Clifton) and LaTonya Allen; grandchildren, Antoino Allen, Keona Ellis, Clifton Ellis Jr, and Jordan Ellis; great grands Clifton Ellis III, Ky’Den Finney, and Ay’Den Finney; two sisters, Debra Young, Venice, Ill and Inell Davis, of Kansas City, MO; a special niece, Lee Marks, of Kansas City, MO, who was treated as a sister since they were the same age; and a host of other wonderful nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Debra Allen, cousins, friends and neighbors.
