Sedric Donnell Johnson

Sedric Donnell Johnson, 41 of Kansas City, Missouri was born June 21, 1983, the son of Martin L. Johnson and Linda G. (Webb) Johnson. He was the eldest of 3 children.

Sedric grew up in Kanas City, Missouri. He graduated from Heart of America Christian Academy High School in Raytown, Missouri, where he loved and enjoyed playing basketball. After high school he attended Kansas City Kansas Community College. Sedric was also involved in a small Christian rap group. He worked for a short time at Target as a security guard. He was very proud of his position there.

Sedric accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and became a member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Artis Taylor. He served in many capacities, as a youth usher, in the youth Sunday School department and a youth choir member. Which one of his favorite songs was, “This Little Light of Mine”.

Sedric departed this life on June 6, 2025. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and great grandparents.

Left to cherish Sedric's memory: his parents, Martin & Linda Johnson; his sons: Jaydon, Justin, and Joseph Johnson: two grandsons, J’mari Amir and Josiah Johnson; his brother, Andrew Johnson (Elizabeth); his sister, Christian Johnson; one niece and one nephew; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
