Serena Garrett, 39 passed away on September 11, 2O19 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born June 2nd, 1980 in Kansas City, Missouri to Kenneth (Kenny) Mayberry and Sara Garrett. She grew up in Eudora, Arkansas and Kansas City, MO. She attended Van Horn High School in Independence, MO. She began work at Concord as a Customer Service Representative. She loved her family and her hobbies were singing, rapping, doing hair, telling jokes, playing Pity Pat, Spades and two-stepping.

She is preceded into death by her Uncle Saul Palmer Jr, 1st Cousin Tracey Garrett, her Maternal grandparents that raised her Arthur Garret Sr and Melvina Garrett, Cousin Ebony Garrett, Cousin Vicki Renee' Steward, Aunt/Sister Wanda Powell, Uncle Robin Mayberry and Paternal grandparents Dessie and Jack Mayberry.

She is survived by her Mother Sara (Alvin Brown) Garrett, Father Kenneth (Charlie) Mayberry and Step Father Alfred (Talisha) Green. Son Monterrio Garrett, Daughter Meah Garrett and her step children. Sister Tia Garrett, Brothers Byron Garrett, Taylor Garrett and Demetric (Dianna) Mayberry. Nieces Ariel Garrett and Reign Mayberry, Nephews Ameer Hayes Jr., Byron Mayberry and Zy'ion Mayberry. Aunts, Victoria (David) Williams, Flora (Willie) Townsend, Mary Atkins, Gloria Whittaker, Jacqueline Mayberry, Denetdra Mayberry and Renetta Mayberry.

Uncles Gary (Trina) Norman, Arthur Garrett Jr, Daniel Garrett, Douglas (Jackie) Garrett, David Garrett Sr and James Mayberry. Cousins that are near and dear to her heart, LONG time special friends Nathaniel Stevens and Jamesetta Franklin, and a host of other family and friends that loved her dearly.

ln Lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to her children Monterrio and Meah Garrett.

The family of Serena M. Garrett would like to convey their deepest appreciation and gratitude to everyone who has ever played a part in Serena's life and the kind expressions of sympathy extended during our time of bereavement.
