Shannon Cornell Moore

Shannon Cornell Moore passed away on September 13, 2022, at home in Kansas City, MO. He was born on September 21, 1955, in Kansas City, MO to Willie Moore and Annie Lou Young-Moore. He grew up in Kansas City, MO.

Shannon worked in janitorial services at a local nursing home, and he also worked for the City of Kansas City as a street sweeper.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie, and Annie Lou Moore; son, Shannon C. Moore Jr., “J.R.”; daughter, Shannah Moore; two sisters, Georgia Chaney, and Willa Lane; and two brothers, Mitchell Moore, and Ferdinand Moore.

Left to cherish his memories are his five children, Sean Moore, KhaShawn Charles, Malcolm Moore, Jordan T. Birks, and Joshua C. Moore; six grandchildren; seven siblings, Charles Moore (Shelia), Robert Moore (Rosie), George Moore, Phillip Moore, Phillipia “Gail” Moore-Washington (Vernell), Kymberly Moore, and Armentha “Renee” Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
