Beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother Sharon Denise Kiboko passed away on May 2, 2026, at the age of 69. She was born June 28, 1956, at General Hospital 2 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the second oldest born to Sam Watson Jr. and Lois Watson (Brown-Harris).
Sharon grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, where she graduated from Northeast High School. She also attended Penn Valley Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City, Missouri where she received an associate’s degree in science. Although Sharon grew up in Kansas City Missouri, she later ventured off to the Northland of Kansas City Missouri at the age of 24 where she resided until the day she passed.
She married Kisute Kiboko October 6, 1991, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Sharon loved to work and held several jobs including positions at Garrison Center as a teenager, Herff Jones (the cap and gown company), the United States Postal Services, Budget inn, Alpine (Riverside nursing home), Park Hill School District, Hardee's
(manager), to retiring from Lifetouch Publishing after 18 years. After retirement, she returned to work part time and retired for a second time in 2025, after 18 years, from Walmart as a AP Host (Boardwalk).
Sharon was one of a kind, she never met a stranger. Get ready when you see her. She loved to talk, and debate and was right 99 percent of the time. She loved people and was fashionable. She was loved and adored by many. She loved her family unconditionally. Although playful and kind, don't buck up to her unless you are ready to be told off and had no problem taking a left hook, as she loved to tell people her dad was a professional boxer back in the day. She was the only person that could hold a conversation with a stranger and end it with a hug of love. She was a huge fan of 2pac and loved to dance no matter the genre of music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Watson Jr., Lois (Brown-Harris), sister, Stephanie Watson, and grandson, Calvin L. Watson Jr.; nephews, Lon Watson and Leland Watson.
Sharon is survived by her 3 children; one daughter, Autumn L. Watson; and two sons, Calvin L. Watson and Willis L. Watson; 4 sisters: Linda Cason, Veronica Watson-Perkins, Malica Page, and Cynthia Watson; 5 brothers, Samuel L. Watson III, Aaron Watson, Éric Watson, Ottis Peeler, and Timothy Crutchfield Jr.; her grandchildren: Keshia Jean, Willis Watson, Darrell King, and Marzya King; bonus son, Philip and bonus granddaughter, Rilyn; plus, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
