Sharon Katherine Tinner was born on July 30, 1954, to L.C. and Marcella Bandy, and peacefully transitioned from this life on February 10, 2025. She was surrounded by love from her devoted
husband, JB Tinner, as he stood by her side until the very end of her beautiful journey.
Sharon was a cherished daughter in a family of eight, growing up alongside her six siblings: Charlie (Clement Louis) Bandy, Floyd (Bud) Bandy, Charles Bandy, Lloyd (Stevie) Bandy, Ronald
(Comfort Igeh-Bandy), and Rebecca Bandy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and brothers— Charlie Bandy, Lloyd Bandy, Charles Bandy, and Floyd Bandy.
In 1964, Sharon met the love of her life, JB. Solidifying their union in 1969, led to a life filled with love, adventure, and family. Together they raised four children: Fabian D. Tinner (preceded in
death), Vera Tinner, LaShannon Tinner-Thomas (she was preceded in death by Dwight Thomas), and Lakecia Foy (Shevel Foy).
Sharon was a doting grandparent who brought wisdom, unconditional love, and treasured moments to the lives of her grandchildren: Donzell Williams, Fabian Vaughn (LaTrice Vaughn), Jasmine
Tinner, Sharod Wilson, Fabiana Tinner, Tykeiah Tinner, Rashod Parsons (Shayne Parsons), Aniyah Foy, Shevel Foy II., Dwight Thomas II., Xavier Tinner, as well as her sixteen
great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
While completing Theological school and becoming an Evangelist, she was a proud and talented pastry chef and together with her beloved husband, JB, a renowned executive chef. Sharon once
owned and operated Shirley’s Place Restaurant & Catering. Not only was their restaurant a reflection of their passion for food and their commitment to creating a welcoming, family-oriented
atmosphere for all who dined there, but their partnership in both business and life was a testament to their dedication and love for each other.
Adventure was a recurring theme in Sharon's life. She found joy in the farthest corners of the world like Japan, Korea, or the Caribbean islands while still cherishing simple moments at home and
making them special. Whether exploring distant lands with family or savoring the beauty of everyday life, she made every experience an adventure that left a lasting impression.
While Sharon Kay has transitioned from this world, the love, faith, and commitment to family that she embodied will continue to live on through all who knew her. Her legacy is one of devotion,
grace, and compassion, and we will forever carry her spirit in our hearts, honoring the lessons she taught us and the love she gave so freely.
